Lemon Lime Ruffian Nails With Zoya Kerry & Zoya Rikki

I don't do swatch posts as you may have noticed if you follow my blog. I tried a few times way back in the beginning but I just don't enjoy it. That means that every post you see is a full manicure that I've worn for at least a day. I usually try out a new polish & then the next day (or so depending on life) I add some nail art. I couldn't think of anything to do the gorgeous Zoya Kerry which is one of my new favorite polishes. My boyfriend, Will (he has his own tag for blog posts) often helps me come up with ideas. This ruffian color combination is his idea & I like it quite a bit! Zoya Rikki is the green polish.

Zoya Rikki

Zoya Rikki is from the Summer 2013 Irresistible collection.

Zoya Rikki is a medium green metallic foil with tons of bronze particles & other sparkles. It covers nicely in two coats; just be sure to wait a minute or two in between application to avoid dragging. Rikki is my least favorite from this lovely collection but it's still a keeper! Shown here with no top coat since I find foils don't seem to need them.

Zoya Hazel & Amy - Game Of Thrones Song Of Ice & Fire Nails

We've been watching season 3 of Game of Thrones lately & I decided that Zoya Amy would be the perfect base for some Song of Ice & Fire nails. I just added a few random strokes of Zoya Hazel to the tips & done! I actually love this one even though it is so simple.

Zoya Amy

Zoya Amy is from the Summer 2013 Irresistible collection.

Zoya Amy is a an amazing fiery orange metallic foil that covers in two coats. The formula is almost velvety & goes on very nicely. Amy is extremely eye catching; it almost seems to glow! Shown here with no top coat since I find foils don't seem to need them. It also dries quickly & is easily removed. Great polish!

The Shining Nail Art!

My sister Ashley decided to do some ambitious nail art for the opening of Room 237 a documentary which explores numerous theories about Stanley Kubrick’s “The Shining” and its hidden meanings.

She started with a base of Zoya Dea then carefully drew the orange pattern with a Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Orange. Finally she added the red dots using Zoya Kristi. I'm blown away by this manicure! She is so much more patient than I am. Fantastic idea & excellent execution!

Here are some fun The Shining related links!

Shabby Apple Giveaway!

Shabby Apple is an online dress boutique that specializes in vintage and retro dresses. I've always loved dresses; I'm 6 feet tall & until very recently it's always been rather difficult to find pants & jeans long enough to fit me. I especially love dresses with pockets I could live in something like the one pictured below all summer!

Zoya Beatrix

Zoya Beatrix is a spectacular polish from the Summer 2013 Pixie Dust collection.

Zoya PixieDust Special Texture Edition Image

Here's what Zoya has to say about this collection.
Infused with even more magic and wonder! Because everyone wants more of it... The color experts at Zoya went back to the lab and created six more beautiful, long-wearing textured, matte and sparkle Zoya PixieDust Colors for Summer 2013! The incredible and best-selling formula is sure to captivate with a magical sparkle and sugary finish like no other.

IMPORTANT PixieDust Application Information - Do not use a base coat or top coat. Apply 1-3 (for full coverage) thin coats of polish. Allow product to dry down completely matte in between layers for full textured effect. The PixieDust textured formula may take up to 10 minutes to dry completely matte. Once dry, the textured finish is long lasting, matte and ultra-glittery!
I love that Zoya has so many orange polishes in this year's summer collections! Zoya Beatrix is bright, crisp true orange that looks pretty in two coats but even more vibrant with three. Application is very easy as long as you make sure to wait for each coat to dry before applying the next to avoid dragging. I love all of the Pixie Dust polishes!!
